Thank you. I am relatively certain it is actually gold plated. It says it is on the wrench and on the original box it came in. The only reason I have to doubt it is that I have not found anything to say the wrench was ever issued that way. As of now I do not intend to sell it. Still I wonder about the value of it. He has many other wrenches that are not gold plated and I don't intend as of this writing selling those either. How about the two leisure suits?
