Posted by tkent on 12/14/2001, 4:05 pm P.S. If anyone reading this has got a bit of spare time - do me a favour and go visit the 'Big Star Reference Page', perhaps even become a member (Sorry, i don't have the exact address to hand, but it is easily accessable through Altavista.com by searching for Big Star). This page is also minimally used - something like only 54 members, which frankly, is a travesty. Tom.
Thanks to Melz (Once again) and tpb. You both have 'Everything is sorrow' in common -a track I haven't heard in a long time, but be assured that I will hunt it out!
The basic point of this message is to get the title heading onto the main board page -
'I hoped in vain' is, I suppose a little to depressing to get people interested. I've just re-read my last posting and feel I must apologise for its rather fed-up tone. I have only just recently gained personnal access to the net, let's ignore work shall we, and was very pleased to find this board. The truth is, I should remain pleased, no matter how little used it appears to be. Anything dedicated to this, frankly, fantastic band is a good thing!!!
There is some news - David cavanagh's book on Creation Records has just come out in paperback and features, according to the index, reasonably lenghy sections on the Boo's. I haven't read it yet, basically because I'm a little nervous about what it going to say (Alan really slagged it off), but it may well be worthy of investigation (The critics loved it)
It is a shame, tpb, to here about the lack of interest in the Brave Captin site. Part of me wants to go over and demand things like 'Monkey Beer' merchandise (S.I.C?), but I suspect that this page will have my loyalty for the time being. I just don't want to try and access this one day and find that the page is inactive.
