i ha
d not heard of woolrich until a week
ago, when i happened across an anthology
of his work in a charity shop. having now
read `the bride wore black` {poor soap opera denument}; `phantom lady`; `rear
window; `waltz into darkness` i am hooked.
i only bought it because it was sitting
with identically bound volumes by w.r.burett and david goodis both of whom i like and so decided to treat them as a job
lot.
i am so impressed that i`m searching
for e-texts of his works and now leaving
a message on a message board. i`ve never done that before.
