I married a dead man 1st british edition

I recently purchased the 1st uk edition of this book and payed rather a lot of money for it. The dealer said that he had never seen a copy before, it was published in 1950 by Hutchinson, the book is complete but has no copyright page. I havent been able to locate this book on any site on the web. Can anyone out there enlighten me on its value or indeed anything at all about this edition. It has a wonderful cover that is probably more striking than the US edition.
