I am trying to find the English text that corresponds to the following French translation from this story, 'Voici la profondeur de la nuit, le marc au fond de la tasse de café'. If you know off-hand what line in New York Blues this comes from, please let me know. Thanks
Which means, duh, I don't know why I didn't include this before, 'These are the depths of the night, the mark at the bottom of the coffee cup' (approximately).
