An Alaskan Angling Adventure with Babe

Hi everyone. My son, Cody Pierce, won Babe's Chevy Trailblazer/Rayovac Sweepstakes back in March and we have recently returned from the trip. I want you all to know that we had a trip that only dreams are made of. Babe & Kris Winkleman and his crew are absolutely the greatest! We were fortunate enough to be able to spend 5 days in Alaska with the Winkelman's fishing and filming. Babe had never had a kid win their sweepstakes in all the years they have had one so it was a real treat for everyone. Now, Babe has had sweepstakes winners/guests from ages 15 to 92 that have gone fishing with him on his show!
It'll be a fabulous show when the Alaskan angling adventure airs in the coming season. We know you will all love it and you are not even going to believe the events that have unfolded in my son's life and ON THE TRIP in Waterfall, Alaska. I don't think Babe would want me to give away too much but I am sure he wouldn't mind me giving a little preview by telling you this. Cody has already been written about in millions of copies of fishing magazines for his angling abilities.
Cody won the photo of the year contest for Y2K at Bigfishtackle.com's Wall of Fame. They currently get 19 million hits a month on their web site and the visitors voted Cody as a landslide winner! He also won the bass of the month contest for February 2001.

Cody has postings on over a hundred fishing web sites but I will leave it there and you can check out Cody on Babes show when the episode airs. The sweepstakes, trip and Waterfall Resort were certainly up to all their billing as described on "Good Fishing."
Jim Protaskey's posting (posted 5/28/2001, 10:48 pm) is right on with his idea about Babe. Babe loves to play pool and we were at the pool table 5 of the 5 days we were there. One night we all walked a couple of blocks up the street from our hotel to a tavern to eat and, sure enough, they had a pool table. By the way, if you are a good pool player Babe may even play against you. My advice to you is to hang onto your money though. Babe is pretty good and he travels with his own stick.
Thanks again Babe, Kris, the crew, Chevrolet and Rayovac for an unbelievable experience. Also for the sunglasses Babe, I am still wearing my Babe Winkelman sunglasses! We can't thank you enough for such an incredible week of making new friends, fishing and enjoyment!
