Rue sat secluded from his pack as he cradled the new gift so delicately. He stared down at the egg that had been given to him only just a day ago with such amazement. He was very unsure of what to think of it, but he knew once it hatched that he would make time to thank Knives for such a gift...
He dreamt of the eggs possibilities thoroughly and a glimmer of hope came to him and he basked in it not realizing that the egg had a rather large crack on the opposite side of it.
As he scented the air for any new arrivals or pack members of such...he felt a rather large shudder come from the egg that startled him and growl toward it. It wasn't til he backed up and noticed the beak proding out of the side with the crack that his growl disappeared and his excitement grew...
Minutes later a head was through and with much struggle from the egg she was finally free, of course though with some egg shell still caught on newly growing fuzz feathers... She took the moment to look at her surroundings before her eyes laid anywhere on Rue's presence.
She seemed almost displeased by him and hissed in his direction. Rue...being taken aback by such a thing growled back at her with much more force than she could. She instantly quieted herself and blinked before getting a glimmer of mischief in her eye... she could deal with this brute... her "father" of sorts she supposed.
She kicked and ruffled off what she had left of the shell and stared at the brute as if he had some sort of clue what to do... her stomach rumbled and instinctively scented the air for something that might appeal to her taste.
Rue noticed this and nodded "Good idea Roulette..." and with that the two went to seek out their dinner.
