Kumi looked over at Frollo, worry and anger mixed all over her face. She leaned over to whisper into Frollo's ear.
"Keep an eye out for that scum that did this to her...his sent is still on her pelt. Remember it." Her voice was dark and sinister, even though her voice was hushed anger seeped from it.
Andras noticed his siblings, and his eyes narrowed a bit. Not out of anger or distaste, but out of curiosity. He boldly walked over to his sister, tail raised, and sniffed her.
Mori yelped as her contractions began, and Kumi quickly directed her attention back to her sister. Kumi whined and laid on her belly next to her sister, and licked her face lovingly.
"It will be okay Mori, you just have to push..."
Mori winced as she nodded slightly, using her energy to push out the first puppy.
"Good job, Mori! Keep it up! You are doing great!"
Mori lifted her head to see her first pup as Kumi nabbed it and brought it to her to lick. Mori whimpered as she noticed...the puppy wasn't moving.
"He...he isn't moving...did...did I do something wrong?"
Right after her words she yelped as another pup made it's way into the world.
"You did nothing wrong...I promise." Kumi licked her face again, then carefully grabbed the other pup, who was a healthy male. A small smile crossed Mori's face as she noticed the pup was moving, but her eyes directed back to the stillborn pup, and distress took over again. Kumi frowned...she knew Mori was going to be torn up over the stillborn.
With the rest of her energy, Mori gave birth to the other three puppies, two being male and one being female. The female had a beautiful white coat that caught Mori's eyes. Kumi's tail wagged delightfully.
"Looks like you are all done! You did so great!" Kumi attempted to keep it positive, but she noticed Mori was not doing well...at all. Mori was beyond her limit, her breathing was labored.
"The girl...Lolita..."
Mori's eyes then gazed at the pup next to Lolita, whom she didn't know was deaf at the time.
"Koga..."
Mori couldn't help but think about the stillborn, but her body had given up on her.
"And him....."
Mori then began to shake wildly. Kumi got to her paws as she whined...it was a seizure. Kumi put her paws on Mori's shoulder and put her head on Mori's attempting to minimize the amount of times her head hit the ground. She had experienced many of Mori's seizures...little did she know this would be the last. Mori's body shook for a good minute or two, before it went completely limp. Kumi yelped uncontrollably as she could no longer feel her breathing.
"Mori? MORI?"
Kumi licked her face many times, and got no response from her sister. Mori's tongue hung out of her mouth, eyes wide open without a blink.
"Mori..." Kumi whispered as it finally settled that her sister had passed. Kumi licked her face a few more times before she lifted her head, howling in memory of her sister. Luckily, Kumi had just given birth and is able to take care of the puppies. After her howl, she gazed up at Frollo, her face smothered in sadness. She had no words.
