Two black dots appeared on the horizon. As they got bigger what they were became more apparent. Frollo was flying with him. Next to him was a clone created by the Me blessing. They made a running land in the meadows.
Frollo looked out into his pack lands. He had gained them by taking the empty throne. Behind him was the rising smoke caused by the volcano. All he had done was led everyone there. Every attack he made was futile. Frollo looked at his clone, who stared back at him questioningly, and the alpha sighed. A Me blessing he had used for caution was wasted because so many wolves came to aid the mountain.
They were both tired. The wolves laid down in the grass, listening to the dying roars in the sky and the distress calls of birds.
Coming from the edge of the pack lands was a white spirit. It was the soul of a young female. In her neck was a red hole, her mark of death. A wolf long forgotten, as she came up to the two Frollo's a sad moan came out of the alpha.
"Wendigo," he gasped as he examined his daughter's transparent body, "how long have you been dead?"
"Awhile," she said. A loving smile appeared. How could she appear so ... content?
"What happened to you?" Frollo got up. He wanted to nuzzle his daughter with love, but dreaded the feeling of his nose slipping through her misty skin.
"That isn't important," she assured him. "You smell like fire."
Frollo looked at himself and cleared his throat. "Um, yes, I suppose I would. You see that? A volcano was started."
"I know." Wendigo looked at the pillar of ash. Her face showed the tranquility of a boulder. "Volcanoes are beautiful naturally, but that was created by some evil canine. It is not beautiful, it is hate."
"Will you be staying?" Frollo pleaded. With Wendigo here and the volcano activated, his concerns were no longer based on the alliance. What would become of the alliance he would have to wonder later.
"Why?" Wendigo asked.
"If you stay then Li-Kumiko won't think I hate my children. I think she has abandon me, but I don't want to take the chances of her coming back here to see a dead garden." Frollo chuckled, but there was much sadness in it.
"You're tired, father," Wendigo said. "Go to sleep. You'll need your strength to run the pack."
"Yes." Frollo began to lay down, but in the middle of it his legs collapsed. "I suppose I will." He rested his head on the grass. Both of his eyes closed and he fell asleep in an instant.
Wendigo was happy to see her father again, but it was time for her to follow the wind's path. She gave her father an untouchable kiss. Her white body ran with the wind.
