The fox settled her gaze on Seg after some time. She knew full well what he thought of her just by looking at him. There was still something he held against her, most of which Bandido could turn and pin to Lestat no doubt. The Earth pack alpha trusted Taboo more than any of them. She had fought with him at one point, so there was no doubt. The vix still had her doubts about Frollo, but she did not trust Seg. She realized most of what she held against him was simply his friendship with Kipcha. The Ice alpha didn't know what lingered between herself and the wolfess, and it was irrelevant now.
Her focus was to make the alliances between the four packs work. "I'm curious Seg, do you know of Tazendre of Limited Fate?"
She did not wait for an answer, merely continued, "My alliance with Lestat was through Tazendre. I trust Tazendre, but Lestat was sly enough to keep his plans from me. That vampire planned to kill my ally, and in turn killed his own brother to whom I owe my life, even if he doesn't remember it." Bandido paused briefly, casting a glance towards Toric briefly before looking back to Seg.
"You cannot hold something against another on what they do not know. They say ignorance is bliss, but I was not ignorant. I made a point to find out what I could, but when a supposed ally speaks little, then it's not possible to know," she continued on. Everything would be laid on the table, even if she was speaking more than might have been necassary. "Even so, I had some hopes Lestat might have some traits like his brother, again I was wrong. The only poor decision I made during the war was no questioning the lack of Tazendre's presence."
Maybe that would turn the wheel's in Seg's head. He may not hold anything against the other alphas, but he held more against her than she deserved. Bandido could only hope he might be understanding. On the other paw, he could still hold it all against her. The most she could do was be honest, and that's exactly what she had done.
Stalmardra was listening quietly. He wanted to add his own two cents, but it wasn't his place. Instead, he scooted backwards some, placing himself next to Toric. In almost a whisper, "Do you know where he is?" The cat-faced griffin was referring to Lestat. Maybe Toric knew where his brother was. He had to ask. Anything was possible.
