It was thinner now, signs of an early spring were strong, but then again the mountain never was predictable. A howl suddenly was ringing in the ox's ears. It was his master's call, and something sounded wrong. "Frollo?" Lobo called. From where he stood Lobo could see a black dot heading towards Wind Gale, getting larger. Flapping, a hurried flapping of the wings, was barely picked up by Lobo's furred ears. Now he could hear the nearing dot calling his name. It was definitely his master calling. "Lobo!" his master called. Lobo could see Frollo better now, every hair shimmering and feathers molting with every pumping motion of his wings. The ox's nose cringed at the horrid sent Frollo brought with him. "Blood?" Lobo hurried to his master. The wolf made a clumsy land on the snow, but tried to get up with haste, wings still fluttering. "What happened to you, Frollo?" The ox asked as he stared astonishingly at the blood melting the snow away. "Never mind that, just find me a place to hide. I'm going to have an attack!" Frollo wobbled on the snow, heading towards the part of Wind Gale thick with leafless foliage. "Hurry, damn you!" Nodding at the order, Lobo helped his master up by gently pushing his rump forward with his horned forehead. Droplets of blood were captured on Lobo's eyelash as he gazed at the teeth marks on Frollo's right hind legs. The punctures were drastically large, and very deep. "Please tell me what happened to you, Frollo," Lobo asked after giving Frollo a gentle push behind a bush. It was too late though, Frollo had fallen on his side and his legs were sicking the air. The same thing had happened in Frollo's first battle with a rank. He had lost because of such attacks. Lobo turned, not wanting to watch Frollo whimper and cry uncontrollably. Lowering his horns into his guard position as Frollo's cries softened to a heavy pant Lobo said, "I only hope Li-Kimiko does not see him like this."

It was such a peaceful day, that was how Lobo knew something would go wrong with it.
