She was inefficient and tended to give up too easily. Wraith, having been around Raven’s pups almost since the day their mother brought them squealing into existence, was well acquainted with their various handicaps…And, having been around them for that long, she knew that Youkou would trust her. She had good reason to. The bird had never brought her to harm before and, despite what she might tell the black wolf, she did not intend to do so anytime in the near future. His question had not been hard to answer, though she would have expected common sense to make it easy to figure out. She had already had this part worked out well in advance, but in the original version she had meant for FrozenSoul to follow Youkou back to the pups and then wait for her to strike out on another hunting trip before he moved in on them. Iceborn could have taken care of him after that. However, she had decided against that later on, and not just because things had gotten mucked up at the river. Now that he was no longer tied to Ravenshadow neither FrozenSoul nor Iceborn would have held back, especially not with the pups so close. One of them would have ended up dead or nearly so, and no matter which one of them bit the dust her wolf would have been furious. So she had come up with a new idea, figuring that since there was more than one way to skin a cat the same must be true of wolves. But, with the way things were progressing, she was not quite sure that she should go through with it just yet. Every time she got ready to get things moving those loose strings started to catch her up and she had to bring things to a halt again while she untangled herself. Meanwhile, everyone else went their merry way, somehow managing to create an even bigger mess for her while doing so. What was this sudden interest in Youkou all about? There was revenge, of course, but how did he plan on carrying it out? Would he try to kill her or, perhaps, was he just planning on playing some cruel joke to make himself feel better... a sort of "See what I did, I’m still here" sort of thing? Or could both be true? He wasn’t telling, and there was only one way to find out for sure and it would mean gambling with Youkou’s hide. The risk could pay off, though, if she could only keep him busy while she puzzled out a way to stack the odds in her favor.

Apparently it wasn’t. "Well we will have to get her away from them, won't we?" She said practically. "Thanks to you, Youkou ran back to Iceborn before she was able to finish hunting.... not that she would have managed to scrape much together even if you had not interrupted her, but that is beside the point. She will have to go out again sooner or later, and when she does I will offer to go along with her. I will serve as a sort of beacon, so all you will have to do is follow me to get to her...Sound good to you?"
