The bird sailed past his head, cheerfully pulling at a little sprig of dark fur as she did so. At the speed she was going she knew better than to attempt yanking any out, which would have probably stopped her dead and left her buried, face first, in the snow...but she did give it a noticeable tug. "I have been looking for you everywhere! You nearly got me into trouble, did you know that?"
Her voice was playfully indignant, and just a little angry. Everything that she was trying to accomplish depended on FrozenSoul’s good behavior. When she had told him where to find Youkou she had meant for him to follow her, not strike up a conversation, and she knew well enough that it had been the black wolf that had approached her, not the other way around. She had made certain that she was there to witness what took place, watching the whole song and dance from the safety of the trees. Iceborn had agreed not to tell Ravenshadow what the bird had done, but eventually Youkou would go to collect her pups and would no doubt tell him about her encounter with the outcast.
Since she had not been harmed there was the possibility that he would just shrug it off, but knowing him that was unlikely. If Wraith was lucky, and lately she was beginning to doubt it, she would just have to sit through a stern lecture and that would be that. Otherwise, her future would be looking a little bleak…
