Hi, there is usually no difference in value or collectibility of the various Japan marks. Some say the older marksare in black, but with so many Japanese company records destroyed in WW2 it is difficult to know many specifics. Aside from a definite "occupied period" most collectors lump most of the Japanese together and focus more on the piece than the mark. Unless say a collector wants all the piece to have the same mark, in which case they may seek specific mark. I hope this helps some.
