Hi Janice, your pitcher and glasses were made in Japan, most likely during the 1950s/60s. Much Japan willow (some with printed marks, some with stickers) was made from the 1940s-70s and sold for export. It was available in the U.S. in most five-and-dime type stores and then my catalog/mail order. If your mom remembers the set being from the 1940s...that could possible be so. Without identifying marks it can be hard to date to specific years, so we have to use a range of years when things were made. I hope this helps some. Jeff
