Four different printed marks with a lion in the center are illustrated in Kowalsky's ENCYCLOPEDIA OF MARKS on p. 650. "Made in Holland" was added to the mark in 1891. There are two marks shown with "Made in Holland". If the lion is upright and fairly slim with a dark mane and upper back, the date is c. 1891-1900. If the lion fills up the circular space and has only two lines coming out of the back of his head for a mane, the dates are c. 1900-1957.
