Blue Willow, made in Japan

I have a 26 piece set with tea pot,sugar bowl,creamer,and meat platter.
The bottom of some of the pieces have the words "made in Japan."
There are 2 little birds on each piece along with other markings connected to Blue Willow Pieces.
Are pieces made in Japan valid Blue Willow?
