I saw them do this on Trading Spaces. They used an overhead projector and traced the pattern on the wall. Then went back over it with blue paint on the white wall. I don't know if an actual plate would work but you can get a picture of the willow pattern off the web. And you should be able to rent a projector from someplace like an office supply store?
