Posted by Sue Anderson on March 28, 2007, 7:49 am While trying to research possible maker's I have been totally enchanted by a Booth's Real Old Willow/A G Harley Jones comparison site that I found on your board. Harley Jones never had impressed marks according to this site. But the thing that has me totally foxed and fascinated are the real differences between the Booth's pattern and the ones I have. It is like one of those spot the differences pictures you see in the puzzle pages of the newspapers! I have shown a Booth's piece a side by side to my plate. The most obvious differences are the shape of the willow tree, especially the roots , the last man has the lamp in a different postition, the position of the fence and the location of the boat. Also my sets have a different picture inside the cup. Ideas and thoughts would be most welcome! Thanking you in anticipation Sue
Good evening to this most interesting group. I have just bought a few sets of what looks very like Booth's Real Old Willow. However, they are unmarked with a maker's name. The cup has no mark at all. The saucer an impressed C or n, the plate a 5.
