Hi Judith,
Your lovely tea bowl and saucer are decorated with an interesting Chinoiserie pattern called "Standing Fisherman with Knotted Line" by Minnie Holdaway, a British researcher and author. She shows a photo of a silver-shaped teapot in the pattern on page 97 of WELSH CERAMICS IN CONTEXT Part II. Members of Friends of Blue in England have discussed the pattern in several of their bulletins. Their name for it is "Buddhist Temple and Fisherman". It is related to several other similar patterns and various researchers have discussed it for over 20 years, but a maker of the pattern has not been identified.
