Hi, I've just purchased this piece of Blue Willow as a gift for my friend who has just started collecting it. It is not marked but does look old, at least to me - which doesn't mean much 
Can anyone tell me what it is? Some sort of sauce dish? Is it a piece often seen? I've included a picture below. Thanks.
