Gaston is certainly considered the authority on English manufacturers' marks. However--in my humble opinion--there are two other authors/books that you should consider in researching this piece: (i) the Kowalsky's "Encyclopedia of Marks 1780 - 1980"; and, (ii) "The Illustriated Encyclopedia of British Willow Ware" by Connie Rogers. [yes -- the same 'Connie' that replied to your e-mail] Also, if you are collecting Copeland, you might consider obtaining a copy of Robert Copeland' "Spodes Willow Pattern".
