Posted by Connie Rogers The R in a sunburst mark was used by Samuel and John Rathbone who worked at Tunstall in Staffordshire. It is found on tea wares and jugs made in bone china from the period 1820 to 1830. The mark is found primarily on Chinoiserie patterns such as Two Temples II variation Broseley and may have been used as early as 1812.
