My Blue Willow plate

I was wondering if anyone can tell me alittle about the number on the back of my plate. I have had the plate since i was about 11years old. It was given to me by my grandmother. On the back it is stamped willow ware by Royal China Underglaze B53. I have been searching the net trying to find out what that number means and maybe how old this plate really is. If anyone in your club can help i would appreciate it. Thanks
