Water, water... everywhere.
The large brute stood atop the rushing rapids, golden eyes narrowed at the white water. He took soundless steps on the water's surfact, the Kid'mi blessing holding him atop like it were a marble floor. Below him swam a fat salmon, female judging by the fat middle section. Late spring and early summer was becoming his favorite season quite fast. The tasty fish were inland, finding places to spawn new life. And they were most nutritious.
A black clawed white paw struck purposely through the moving glass surface, scooping around the fish and forcing it up. The salmon popped into the air, flailing wildly, but Polera was ready with a skillful snap, catching the large fish and biting down hard to secure it in his jaws. The brute's black and white fringed tail gave a short, pleasant wave before he turned at ninety degrees and walked to the banking.
He was making his way to a small clearing he'd spotted on his way to the river, a pleasant, sunny spot. However, he found his path was inhabited now. Pausing silently, the black and white hybrid simply stared at the two from a distance, golden eyes narrowing on the small fem. She stirred familiarity, though it wasn't coming to him quickly because of the long time it had been since he commited to hermiting. It wasn't until she said the word 'help' that Polera remembered. His tail gave a slight twitch, mouth creasing in a smile around the large fish.
The large brute almost made to approach the group, but paused mid step. Why would he do that? Avoiding people was working so well for him. Even though he made his home in a gang, the inhabitants of the monastery left him to himself for the most part, not that that was an issue. The brute's golden gaze shifted to the strange male beside Aijin, sizing him up. No one was to be trusted on this mountain, that was for sure. The nastiest books always had a pretty leather binding, he knew that all too well.
Shifting his gaze back to the small wolfess, the brute's eyes gave a sad overshadow. Would she even remember him? Probably not. It'd been so long ago and only brief. He was best to just leave things be. Polera glanced around for an alternate path to take, hoping not to disturb the other two.
...but not a drop to drink.
