The two lionesses had been half asleep in the weak winter sunlight when Lucien came wandering by on his mission. Both tawny heads lifted lazily as a low laugh began in the back of Sekh's throat.
Konya, now grown to full size, taunted cruelly "That cat looks familiar. Oh, wait, didn't we KILL him once?"
"We did, Konya." The lead lioness responded. "And that makes me wonder exactly what he's doing walking around with the living again."
