LED tail light upgrade

Looking for anyone out there that has upgraded the taillight bulbs & flashers, to LED's? I would like to do this to my 2003 Tacoma. Can it be done? I have found some sites that sell LED bulbs, but don't want to screw my truck up! Are there any sites on the internet that can show how it can be done?
