Does anybody know if the front differential and a rear differential from a 1980 Toyota pickup need to match. I took a Rear differential of a 1988 and put it on the 1980. All I know is that I counted the teeth on the biggest turning cylinder the 1988 has 40 teeth and the 1980 35. They told me both differentials have to match or I can blow the trany. any info would be appreciated.
