Curing the Shanks

Hey man, I am a 5 handicapper, but have been plagued by the shanks off and on. I have found many things that help me through. The best cure I have found is hitting a 1/4 swing sand wedge and first, keeping my left shoulder down until after impact (assuming your a righty). Second, I line the ball up on the toe of my club. Third, I overexaggerate turning my wrists over. Fourth, and last, you MUST BE SHURE you are going to hit the next shot perfect.
