please!!! do not feed the baby birds worms!!! When a mother feeds it's young, it feeds them regurgitated food, so that her saliva kills the bacteria. A baby's intestinal flora and fauna and immune system are not strong enough to kill certain parasites and bacteria, so by feeding the babies worms, you may be feeding them a dose of death!!!the best thing to do is soak cat food in water until it's mushy, and mix it with baby food, and baby cereal, and feed it by oral syringe that you can get from your local vet.(this is all provided hanging a makeshift nest outside doesn't work)
: not knowing what kind of birds they
: are might make it a little hard. I
: would feed them cut up pieces of
: worm. Use forceps, it kind of
: simulates the mother feeding them.
: I wouldn't feed your birds any
: water. They could drown very
: easily! If you feed them worms,
: they get enough water from them. If
: you are keeping the birds in the
: house, and your house has AC, be
: careful! Your birds might get a
: little cold. You can put a lamp on
: them to keep them warm. Just make
: sure its not to hot. I hope this
: helps you! If you have anymore
: question, post them. I will watch
: for them, my boyfriends a biology
: major, and knows a ton about birds.
: I recently resuced a baby sparrow.
