best thing to do is assess whether it's a baby or injured adult. If it's an injured adult, try to get it into a cardboard box w/plenty of holes in it by gently guiding it into the box w/ a towel or sheet, and then get it to your nearest emergency vet or wildlife rehab. center(call information). If it's a baby bird(still has puffy down instead of feathers, best thing to do is hang it in an easter basket or makeshift nest in the nearest tree and hope mom comes around to feed it.It's not easy to hand rear a wild bird ant they have to be fed about every 2-3 hours. best left to a rehab. specialist.Good luck!
