My cat caught a young dove from one of the trees at the bottom of the garden. I think it is a couple of weeks old and it is fully feathered with down. I can't put it back as the cat would get it again so i have it in a box in the house. I don't want to handle it too much, and there is a little blood although i don't think it's a serious injury. What should i feed it and treat it with? And how long before i could let it go - i'm going on holiday in two weeks, so if that is not enough time i will look for someone else to take it.
Any help would be appreciated.
