I have an abandoned young Wren, and I was wanting to know the same. How often do I have to feed it now that it can nearly fly? (It is close to flying buy not quite yet!)
: I have raised a baby wren/sparrow for
: almost 2 weeks now, he/she was bald
: when I pulled him out of my welder
: and we have fed on 15 to 30 minute
: intervals chicken baby food through
: a syringe. He is feathered now
: mostly. he opened his eyes on
: Monday and seems to be doing
: great..developing a personality. I
: have read various posts but have
: some questions...
:
: Can he now go for 2 hours at a time
: without food and should I put seed
: in his aquarium for him to start
: eating? I will be busy this weekend
: and gone for extended times from
: home.
:
: Also when should he be ready to
: learn to fly so I can release back
: into the wild. I heard they don't
: make good pets, even though he seems
: to have bonded to me and my wife.
: Wish I could post a pix! Thanks for
: your advice and experiences.
