found unhached egg in front yard

My mom found an unhached egg in our front yard. We do not know what kind of egg it is. We put it in a basket with 3 blanets. One blanket heats up with a touch of a botton. We do not know what to do wi8th the young bird when it haches. Please type back with the anser.
