Hi,
My dog the other day found one of two pigeons that live on our roof. I am not sure if he was able to catch the pigeon because he was already unable to fly or if he created the problem. It has been a few days now and the pigeon although he cant fly appears to be healthy as far as I can tell. He continues to try to fly but cant. He can make it to the top of a fence. I have also noticed his/her mate comes down and spends time with it. I have bird food and water with sugar and a blanket etc for the pigeon who now sleeps on the ground next to our house behind our hose holder and under the house about 6 inches. I believe he is warm enough.
I can not see a hurt foot or wing etc. Should I wait it out to see if maybe he was hurt and will get better or should I take the pigeon to the vet.
