Found baby blue jay

I found a baby blue jay yesterday laying on the ground in my yard. I have taken it into my house and I am now feeding it. Does anyone know if this poses any kind of threat to my children? I have never done anything like this before, but I couldn't just leave it outside to be killed by another animal.
