we rescued thhree baby robins a few hours ago and they blew out of a nest in our boathouse and we jumped in 4 them they are in my sisters room and they r crapping every where we feed them wet cat food and they wouldnt eat it I want to know wut but I dont know
: We also just rescued three nestling
: robins after a fierce storm this
: past Wednesday. Thought one was
: already dead, but all three are now
: great!! :-) Best advice: wildlife
: rehabilitator. We didn't do that,
: though, but I did LOTS of internet
: searching re: diet, etc. I'm not an
: expert, but today we did something
: wonderful with the babies ... we
: found one of those screened-in tents
: on sale (summer closeout special)
: and it's worth every penny. Now
: they can fine-tune their flying
: skills while protected from cats and
: dogs. Also, we bought a bag of 50
: crickets ... we'll let 5 or so loose
: at a time so they can work on their
: bug catching skills. Crikets and
: nightcrawlers (we cut them up into
: six pieces) are available at bait
: shops. (Beats digging!) Feel free
: to email me if you'd like to
: discuss. I'll give you my phone
: number or I'll call you.

: I found 3 baby robins that a storm
: blew
: out of a nest in our yard. I waited
: to see if the parents would come.
: The birds were already limp and
: barely moving when I found them. So
: I picked them up and put them on a
: towel in a big flower pot. I
: couldn't find any worms that night,
: so when we went to walmart I bought
: kitten milk in the pet aisle. Then I
: read where I can give them cat food
: soaked in water. So now I give them
: the kitten milk with a dropper in
: the
: morning (6am) and soaked catfood
: every 2-3 hours until night time.
: They love it! I read where the water
: in the food is enough. I use yellow
: plastic tweezers, and they poke
: their
: heads up when they see them and I
: whistle. At first they didn't have
: many feathers, now they're getting a
: lot of feathers and a lot cuter. I
: put them in an old bird cage I
: found.
: I still don't know when or how I am
: going to release them back into
: wild.
: Any advice would be welcome.
