Here's a bag I recently finished. Call it a shooting bag or a small haversack.
The main portion of the bag is made from linen burlap lined with blue striped ticking. Has a ticking-fringed border. Just one main compartment, no pockets. It measures about 7.5" X 13.5".
The flap is "brain tanned" buckskin (I think it's really egg yolk instead of brains), and the 1.5" wide strap is oil tanned cowhide.
It sports an oval shaped forged iron buckle by Steve Baxter. The strap is attached to put the buckle at the back when worn on the left side.
All hand stitched with waxed linen thread.
I'm putting it up for auction here until midnight central time on Saturday. Highest bid by then wins the bag and the $ will go to Lizards furnace fund.
