John Boy/Walton/Widowmaker, died a few days ago. He was a good friend of mine. I talked to Vickie, his wife, and she wants me to sell some guns of his. I didn't want to get into it, at this time with her, as John Boy was buried today. But she told me his rifle , some other guns, black guns, as she called them, are gonna be available if anyone is interested. His Flinter was made just before my ole Rustaway was built, in the 70s. Its a 54, and made by a super gunsmith, Tom Verhoven, who lived just out of Deadville. As I get a lot more info, prob be Monday, ill have more to post. The barrel would be a Green River, made in Utah. Green River was one of the top barrels made back then, along with Sharon and Black barrels. Its got a Silver lock in it, that much I do know. If anyone is interested in it, after I have all the Info, it would be a good rife to own, and a Hellva history of the Widowmakers, goes with it. The black guns, are prob modern guns. Anyway, this is just a heads up on this rifle. Gary Finly/Widowmaker, is gonna pick the guns up, and might a chance he can make it to Friendship. He has a bad back, and was concerned about walking up the hill, to where the Widowmakers are camped. Im gonna call him back and J9 or I could drive him up the hill. It would be a good thing for those who have never met him, to meet him. Gary and John Boy, are first generation Red Hats. So that's that. Lots of "IFs" I know, but I wanted to post it anyway. Cheers!
