Southern Fried Yankee Pre-Frolic Emergency Edition
...............
This "Emergency Edition" of the Broken Arrow is being sent out on Whip's direction in time for everyone to
get ready for the Widowmaker Frolic Memorial Day weekend. Sounds like Whip has some sort of devious plan up his
sleeve for the shoot. This should be interesting...

Whip said:
"...Tell everyone that is coming to the Rifle Frolic to get a Woods Pack set up for a 3 day trek.
...They will need it for extra points."
Another thing... "there will be no loading rods on the firing line. Only can use the rod that fits in the thimbles."

" Put in Broken Arrow, the Frolic will have a 3 day trek that will have lots of [points to win or lose, and will
count on shooting scores. Also, tell them to check the Widowmakers Web Site, under Flint Inn, to get most of the
items they will need for a three day Trek. Whip will be checking things out, and I, the non-member will do the
3 day trek. Oked by the Whip, and he joined in on this. Cheers!
And:
Just to let you all know, any member can put things in the Broken Arrow. Some old ones are on the Site somewhere.
Many Klatch done it for years when I was in the club. During hunting season, members wrote about their kills, or
how they screwed up hunting. Whip you should tell your hunting tricks that worked for you, using a white bucket,
for deer, and a turkey fan, for turkeys.
...............
There was also a rumor that Whip may be checking things out to see just how primitive things are around camp...

The Widowmaker Frolic May 26th – 29th 2016
It is time for our annual get together! Come in early and stay late. You do not have to stay the entire week to
shoot the entire program. Most people just get a long weekend off for Memorial Day so arrive when you can and
we will get the Frolic going. The shooting will be with Flintlock Rifle, Smoothbore, Pistol, bow and arrow and
knife and tomahawk. The Widowmaker Frolic is a Blanket Shoot. You will never see a better prize blanket than at
the Frolic.
Directions to the Widowmaker Frolic
From the Great White North (At least this year!)
In Tennessee It is easier if you drive through the Land between the Lakes and it is a pretty drive. Just make
sure you have your guns out of sight! In Tennessee get on Hwy. 79, then turn south on Hwy 232. You will cross
Hwy 147 at McKinnon. The road will change its name to White Oak Road. When you pass the White Oak Community
Center you will have one mile to go. The Driveway is on the right and there should be no doubt you have arrived
at a Widowmaker Event.
The address is 7210 White Oak Road.
From below the Smith & Wesson Line
From 1-40 take exit 143, Hwy 13. Go by Loretta Lynn’s Ranch and through Waverly ( this is your last chance to
get a McDonalds Cheeseburger before you get to camp!) Go 7.3 miles and turn Left on CR-1781, Tennessee Ridge
Road. Take the second road to the left at Hall’s Creek Road. There will be a yellow brick house on the left.
Halls Creek Road will change to Greenbrier down the road. Just stay on this road for 8 miles from the yellow
house, you turn right on New Hope Road across from the auto junkyard. When the road ends at New Hope Church
Road, take a left on Cooley Ford- White Oak Road.
The driveway is 1.3 miles away a left turn in a sharp curve.

Grizz has a lot of things going on and just doesn't have the time to keep up the Broken Arrow at this point.
He has done a great job of it for quite a while and deserves a big Thanks for all of his effort.
So, Thanks Grizz!
I'm going to try and keep up the job as well as Grizz did it. Let me know if there is anything that needs to
go in our newsletter and I'll try and get it in the next issue.
