Saturday on the other had was in 40's, sunny and I said to Noah, " Let's go to gun range and shoot." He had, to him, a new 50 cal. and I had put a new 50 cal. in my gun to replace the 40 cal. barrel. By putting the 50 to replace the 40 I knocked off 1.2 lbs. of barrel weight. They are both identical rice barrels. the both fit perfect.
Colin McCrea, the gun builder helped with the fit. I now can shoot 40 for squirrels and 50 for deer. Any how, Noah had been having trouble with a flinch, he seemed better with new gun and set trigger. The "new" 50 I was shooting took very little adjusting to get it zeroed in. A little tweak of front site and then barrel and bang it was right there. I need to go back and work out the rest of the distances but for another day.
Last but not least Sunday was in low 50's up here and I went and shot the skeet league I belong to. Mind you now this is the last 2 days in January in NWPa. and we got to go out and play. I'm sure February will pay us back and be "normal", cold and snowy.
Cheers all, Bigfoot/Farmer
