Other than taking a few shots trying to get the windage set on my new Doglock musket I have not shot any flintlocks since June at Friendship. So this morning I took the Doglock and my tack driving Type G Tradegun. I took four shots with the Doglock to verify I have yet to solve my windage problem. Then I took out my Tradegun. I first took two shots on my 8 inch diameter gong at 50 yards. Two shots two hits, then I switched to a big pistol bull at 25 yards. My first shot was a 10 at 9 o'clock. On my second shot the nut behind the butt plate got loose and I shot a 9 at 6 o"clock. My next shot was a 9 at 1 o'clock and then the fun started. I was listening to the conversations of my Friends on the next bench and I dry balled. I used my last Co2 cartridge to blow out the ball. Then I was paranoid loading my next shot when all of my friends came over to my bench while I was loading. I actually stepped away from my bench to talk a couple times. When I went back I started loading and noticed the ramrod did not come close to going all the way down. I had double loaded the Tradegun, two balls and two powder charges. I can take a hint I packed it up and took it home to pull the balls. I am sure if I read my horoscope it would have told me NOT to go to the range this morning. Next week I am thinking about going at one PM when it is 95 degrees and nobody is at the range. So there you go Lizard, my first paper target. I loaded the tradegun six times and got three holes in the paper! I HATE PAPER!
