I opened up the range this morning at 8:30 to get done and out of there before it got too hot. I brought two smoothbores one my new 10 gauge 1710 English doglock and my painted trade gun. I wanted to see where the 10 bore was shooting and I wanted to see if the driving rain changed the sight picture on the trade gun. I set a target up at 25 yards with a black 7 ring center the paper was 10 1/2 inches by 12 inches. I took five shots with the doglock using 5 different sight pictures low, high, right and left. After five shots at 25 yards there was no .735 holes in the paper. I had hopes of using the big musket in the big honking at the fall shoot. It ain't looking good. The trade gun stacked them in the 10 ring and wore out the 50 yard gong. The mission was 1/2 completed. Of course any day at the range is a good day!
