Hi All, I got some more info on my Spitfire. Steve Foden is the English BSA Club librarian and he has all the records for old BSA's. Below is what he found out about mine. |

Dear Mr Little,
Frame Number :- A65SA.17902
Engine Number :- A65H.11506
I can confirm that this machine is a 650cc A65 Spitfire Mk111 which was due to be despatched to BSA Incorporated, Nutley, New Jersey USA on the 25th May 1967. Due to component shortage it was refurbished as a Mk IV Spitfire and despatched on 23rd May 1968 to BSA Incorporated, New Jersey USA.
It is fitted with a 650cc A65 Hornet motor despatched to BSA Incorporated, Nutley, New Jersey on 29th April 1966.
The information given in this certificate is taken from the
factory despatch department records where they are available. As the despatch books were located at the end of the production line dates quoted therefore can be taken as the date of manufacture.
