Tara, i'm so sorry to hear this, how horrible for both of you. i'm not an expert & so maybe you should seek advise from a professional dog trainer/or westie breeder as they really know the breed. i have 2 male westies & can only imagine that yours will be quite scared for sometime. i think that's only quite understandable. just as if a woman was attacked you can imagine her fears too. i'd say be patient & try not to leave her alone. i sure hope she'll be ok. they are a tough little dog & w/lots of love & attention she hopefully will recover. you might try emailing ceasar millan(the dog whisperer) or get one of his books, he knows everything about dogs. good luck.
