I have two westies, one of my westies reverse sneezes on the odd occasion, usually when he has been sniffing about dusty areas. He is otherwise healthy and gets checked over regularly from the vet so am not worried about health matters, but what happens when he does it is that my other westie panics and wants to bite him when he starts making the wheezing sounds! They are best of friends the rest of the time too, has anyone ever experienced their dog reacting in this way and how do they stop it? He will run to me (which is handy) when he is having an attack to get away from my other dog, who even if asleep in another room seems to sense it happening before I do and comes running in the "hunt" to find him. I then have to reassure my panic dog or shut him out the room and comfort my wheezy one until the episode stops. Its like my other dogs knows I wont let him get to him until sneezing attack is over, then they sniff each other and go off being best of friends again. The bully one is the boss of the two, though he knows his place in our pack the rest of time so not sure why he reacts the way he does, one thing to check him over and see that his pals ok, but not to bite him!!
