i have 2 male westies & just rescued a 2 & 1/2 yr old female cairn terrier, she came from puppymill in ohio. it was thru 'homeward bound' rescue on petfinder. all 3 are doing fine. she's adjusting & picking up things very fast. we also had a male golden ret. when i got the westies & they all got along fine too. unfortunately our jake died of cancer 2 yrs.ago. so go to petfinder & look up the westies available in your area, that's a good place to start. all the people that i've talked to that work w/these rescues are wonderful, knowledgeable, caring people. good luck, carol
