I think an importanat thing to know is a Westie always needs a fence or a leash. If they spot a squirrel or rabbit there is no calling them back. The only time our Mollie has free run is when we are on our 130 acres with no roads or cars around. Don't get me wrong, she is well behaved, fun and excellent in the house but she is a terrier and loves the chase.
