hi there i have a westie who is treat like a king and spoiled rotten.he is the freindliest dog you can imagine but gets very jealous when my grandchildren are round and although he is very tolerant with them after a while he growls gently at them as if to say thats enough.westies are lovely companions but in my opion it would be best to wait untill children are older before getting one .westies like to be close to you all the time but dont like to be pulled about.its not recommended that you get a westie if you have children under 10 years old.
