I have the opportunity to adopt a 2 year old westie with Addisons disease. I have done allot of on-line and private research and am asking my Vet for info before I commit to adopting him. I would like to know if anyone can give me some information first hand on what I would be facing as far as health issues and would he a have a somewhat normal life span if he stays on his medication. I am not new to westies, I am a fulltime stay at home Mom to 2 others. The dog is being put up for adoption because of his health problem with his Addisons. I really feel that I could help him have a better life and a great forever home. Please don't be afraid to tell me the good and the bad. Thanks allot.
